The 1.2L turbo is tuned for economy rather than outright speed — 137 horsepower and 162 lb-ft, enough for merging onto I-80 and keeping up with traffic, while returning around 30 mpg doing it. That trade is the whole point of the vehicle.

No. Every Trax is front-wheel drive, on every trim. If all-wheel drive matters to you, look at the Trailblazer or Equinox instead — we would rather tell you that now than after you have bought one.
